Consider a world that’s beautiful,
though with every sense in your body,
you know it to be hopelessly corrupt;
Consider a world that’s growing,
though with every vestige of wisdom in your soul,
you know it’s only decaying;
Entropy is natural, the first and last state of existence,
but consider the order of the present,
the sweet serenity of now, for all that is,
And consider now that you are you,
and that the world is the world,
and that the cosmos is the cosmos,
And all things are all things in the present;
consider that each thing exists with every other,
embraced and balanced with the rest.

Again, a random burst of semi-inspiration. I'm trying to write more, seeing as this is what I intend to do with my life.

Comments and (constructive) criticisms are, as always, welcome and appreciated.

this is a wonderful piece of poetry, although i would be careful about saying the whole world is corrupt. Beauty exists in that which is untouched by humanity. Its small, but it exists and is timeless.
True, true. I guess what I was getting at is the feeling, rather than the absolute... there have been times when it feels like the whole world is corrupt to the core. Perhaps society--or some equivalent-- would be a better choice of wording?

If the seas must boil, let them, and if the earth must split, let it; for these entities have been following the ebb and flow of chaos for untold millennia and will continue to do so with little regard for human thought or care.
True, i think there are more days that make you feel like the whole world is corrupt than not, which is a rather depressing thought. I think even dispite your abiguous choice of wording, it still comes across well, which shows your talent as a poet.
Well, thanks! I appreciate it.
